Bio: This blog is going to serve as a hub for my coursework related to AS Media Studies where I will evaluate the opening sequences of several horror/thriller and romantic comedies. 

I have analysed four films of varying genres in order to ehance my knoweldge of how different films work to convince the viewer that they are the genere they claim to be. The four films are:

• Halloween
• Se7en
• Love Actually
• Bridget Jones' Diary

I will then proceed to analyse filming techniques and create questionaires relating to different genres before planning my own production of an original piece conforming to a particular genre, but challenging existing codes and conventions.
